GETTING STARTED
Use the Daily Exfoliator each day for 1 week. If your skin
is not red, irritated or peeling, you can begin applying
the Skin Peel once every 2-3 weeks. After applying the Skin
Peel, wait until all redness and/or peeling has stopped,
apx. 4-7 days, and then resume your use of the Daily Exfoliator.

dry skin.
2. Apply a few drops of
Daily Exfoliator to gauze pad and buff skin gently in
a circular motion.
3. After 1-2 minutes rinse
skin with water & pat dry

Moisturizer or Hyaluronic Moisturizer.
PRE-PEEL
INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Prior to your peel: Avoid facials, waxing and electrolysis.
Do not apply any makeup or perfume.
2.
If you are pregnant or currently using any prescription
skin care products check with your doctor before performing
a peel.
3.
For 24 hours before and after performing a peel cease
using any non-Peel RX cleansers, moisturizers, exfoliators,
sun protection products & other skin care products.
4.
Two days before performing a peel conduct a patch test:
First: Prepare a Neutralizing Solution (SEE #1 BELOW).
Apply to clean skin a small amount of the Peeling
Solution
to a dime-sized area of the face. Wait 30 seconds, then
rinse off with cold water. If skin is excessively irritated
use Neutralizing Solution. Observe results for the next
5 days. Mild to moderate redness or stinging is normal.
Excessive redness, stinging, burning, blistering or other
severe reaction may indicate that a lower peel strength
is needed to build tolerance.
APPLYING
THE SKIN PEEL SOLUTIONS
DO
NOT APPLY PEEL MORE FREQUENTLY THAN EVERY 2 WEEKS
NOTE:
During the peel you may experience mild to moderate burning
or stinging. This is normal and means that the peel is
working. CAUTION: If at any time you feel uncomfortable
or the skin reacts with excessive redness or stinging
the solution should be washed off immediately with repeated
splashes of cold water and/or the neutralizing solution
(see below). AVOID SUN EXPOSURE after performing a peel
for 7 days.
1.
PREPARE A NEUTRALIZING SOLUTION: Combine 2 tbsp of household
baking soda with
1
cup of tepid water in a small bowl. This solution can
be used to deactivate the peel while it is
on the skin. If you experience severe discomfort while
performing the peel simply splash the neutralizing solution
on to the skin to quickly stop the peeling process. Keep
this solution near you at all times while performing the
peel. Only use if necessary. You may also fan the skin
with a handheld fan to alleviate minor discomfort.
2.
Remove makeup and wash face with a mild cleanser, such
as Peel RX Ultra-Pure & Gentle Cleanser.
3.
Peel RX peel products are designed for those experienced
with skin peeling treatments. If you have
limited experience with peels or if you are unsure of
your tolerance level we recommend using one of the lower
strength peels and initially leave the peel on for not
more than 20-30 seconds.
4.
Shake Peel bottle well. Apply 1-2 ml of peel solution to a gauze pad
and apply to the face using a mild rubbing action. Avoid eye areas,
lips, and insides of nostrils. Continue gently buffing for 30- 90
seconds. (During Salicylic Peel application often a frosting of the
skin will occur - this is a good indication the peel is working and
care should be taken to rinse skin with water so as not to leave the
peel on the skin for too long).
5.
Initially at this stage, rinse with cold water or the
neutralizing solution if necessary . As tolerance increases,
peel may be left on for longer periods, up to 2-3 minutes.
6.
Gently pat dry with a clean cotton or paper towel. Do
not rub skin with the towel.
7.
Apply Peel RX Oil-Free Moisturizer or Hyaluronic Moisturizer
to soothe and nourish your new skin. Avoid sun light and
apply Sun Protection.
AFTER
THE PEEL
For
7-12 days after the peel, clean the skin with warm water
using a mild liquid cleanser (Green Tea Cleanser).
Use fingertips (not a wash cloth) since the skin is very
sensitive at this time. Avoid the use of abrasive or exfoliating
sponges. After cleansing, pat dry with a clean towel,
and then apply ointment to keep the exfoliating skin soft
and the new skin protected. Avoid sun exposure-this includes
tanning beds. Sunlight on the skin after a peel can cause
brown discoloration of the new skin. A sunscreen of SPF
25 or higher should be applied every morning before going
outdoors. For
a minimum of one month after the peel procedure client
shuld not have hair removed by any technique for a minimum
of 1 month. Make up application can be resumed 5-7 days
after the peel providing there is no presence of redness,
irritation, tenderness or crusting of the skin.
•
Immediately after the peel the skin may be red and blotchy,
slightly raised, tight and shiny, and/ or feel sensitive.
These are all normal reactions to the peel, and symptoms
should subside in a few hours or within 1-2 days in some
cases.
CAUTION:
During this time following a peel, take care not to pick
or irritate the skin. Apply cold water and Peel RX Hyaluronic
Moisturizer or Oil-Free Moisturizer as needed.
•
In the week following the peel you may experience mild
flaking and/or redness, similar to a slight sunburn and
irritation in the form of small blemishes where the peel
deeply penetrated the pores. These reactions are normal
and will subside with each subsequent peel. Apply Peel
RX Hyaluronic Moisturizer or Oil-Free Moisturizer 2-3
times a day as needed.
•
Following a peel, take care to wash and dry skin gently.
Avoid sun exposure and use Sun Protection.
•
Seven days following the peel you may resume using the
Daily Exfoliator, provided that all residual redness and
peeling has subsided.
