in each kit is a Daily/Pre-Peel Lower Strength Salicylic Acid, Full
Strength Salicylic Peel and Hyaluronic Moisturizer. The lower strength
Salicylic can generally be used as a daily exfoliator so you can keep
your skin smooth, pores clean and continue to promote the exfoliation
and skin renewal procuress in-between peel applications.
Combining
the use of daily and twice monthly peels will achieve rapid results
as skin is deeply cleansed and more dead skin cells are sloughed off.
Hyaluronic Moisturizer is rich in vital Hyaluronic nutrients and it
is oil-free, so its perfect for all skin types to nourish your newer
younger and clearer skin.
Salicylic
Complete Peel Systems are
available in light, medium, deep and advanced strengths. Each peel
kit is designed to be used a simple system consisting of 3 items:

Skin Peel applied every 2-3 weeks.

A more gentle Daily Exfloliator (used during the period in-between

is the benefit of a Peel Kit vs. just using a peel? |
| Applying
a peel to the skin can dramatically turn over the skin's cells - shedding
dead and damaged skin and replacing them with new younger softer looking
skin that has a more even skin tone and more youthful look. To perform
a treatment that will fully enhance the natural turnover process you must
also treat the skin during the "downtime period" otherwise known as the
period between when the peeling has ceased and the next peel application.
Applying a low strength daily exfoliator, such as Glycolic 10% Daily Exfoliator
or Salicylic 2% Daily Exfoliator, will gently promote further cell turnover
and help to continue the rejuvenation process forn effective result. Hyaluronic

| Salicylic
became a prominent and respected member of the the skin care community
in 1997 at the American Academy of Dermatology where dermatologists
confirmed their belief that the beta hydroxy, salicylic acid is the
next generation of products for improving the appearance of aging skin.
After reviewing comprehensive data, the dermatologists agreed the beta
hydroxy, salicylic acid is a superior exfoliant that improves the appearance
of aging, sun-damaged skin without all the irritation associated with
the popular alpha hydroxy, glycolic acid.
Dr.
Albert Kliginan, professor emeritus of dermatology at the University
of Pennsylvania School of Medicine : "Salicylic acid is effective
in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improving
overall facial texture because it exfoliates both the skin surface and
within pores, without all the iritation commonly associated with the
alpha hydroxy, glycolic acid." It has been found that beta hydroxy,
salicylic acid is effective with as little as one-fifth the concentration
typically found in products containing glycolic acid, the most commonly
used alpha hydroxy acid. The superior exfoliation action of Salicylic
Acid is thought to he attributed to its lipid- or oil-solubility. It
concentrates its exfoliation action in the lipid-rich outer layers of
the skin, where the skin's natural rate of exfoliation reduces with
aging, causing a buildup of dry, dull skin flakes. According to Dr.
Kligman, betas also exfoliate with in the pores, a benefit not seen
with the glycolic acid product tested. Glycolic acid is water-soluble,
which may lead to its localizing more deeply in the skin, possibly accounting
for its observed higher level of irritation. "Salicylic acid was preferred
by the study participants," commented Kligman. "If women think a product
is too strong or too irritating for their skin, they typically won't
use it as often as they should or they won't use enough of it, clearly
impacting the product's effectiveness." |

| FDA
Guidelines for the use of Salicylic Acid are:
1.Test
any product that contains a BHA on a small area of skin before applying
it to a large area. If you use cosmetics with BHAs and experience skin
irritation or prolonged stinging, stop using the product and consult
your physician.
2. Follow the use instructions on the label. Do not exceed the recommended
applications.
3. Avoid using BHA-containing products on infants and children.
4. Use sun protection if you use a BHA product. |
