At the 2% level Salicylic Acid is an effective deep Beta Hydroxy Acid exfoliator and very light peeling agent. For use every 2-3 Salicylic 2% effectively and deeply cleanses the skin. Unlike a soap based cleanser, Salicylic exfoliator will thoroughly clean out the pores, dissolving oil, removing residue. Salicylic is also an excellent peel prep treatment prior to other peels like Glycolic acid and Lactic acid. Simply apply a few drops to gauze pad and buff skin gently in a circular motion and after 1-2 minutes rinse with cool water.

Salicylic, a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, is a facial oil reducer, pore cleanser.  Salicylic acid is an AHA Glycolic alternative as it stimulates new healthy skin cell production and increased collagen formation. Salicylic is oil-soluble and lipophilic so it penetrates sebum filled follicles and cleans out clogged pores Using Salicylic results in marked improvement in both normal skin types and acne, blemish and oily prone skin.

Directions:
Apply a few drops to gauze pad and buff skin gently in a circular motion. After 1-2 minutes rinse with cool water. Note a tingling sensation may occur and it indicates product is exfoliating the skin. If redness or irritation occur discontinue use. FDA Guidelines for the use of Salicylic Acid are: 1.Test any product that contains a BHA on a small area of skin before applying it to a large area. If you use cosmetics with BHAs and experience skin irritation or prolonged stinging, stop using the product and consult your physician. 2. Follow the use instructions on the label. Do not exceed the recommended applications. 3. Avoid using BHA-containing products on infants and children. 4. Use sun protection if you use a BHA product.
